Finger Lakes Health requests community assistance

GENEVA-- Finger Lakes Health is continually inspired by the generosity and spirt in the Finger Lakes. Our group knows many are looking for ways to help. FLH is requesting the community's assistance to secure supplies that will be needed during a surge situation of patients with COVID-19.
The New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has anticipated a surge during a time of national shortage of certain supplies. FLH is reaching out to community partners to request support during this COVID-19 pandemic.
Like all health systems nationwide, there are supply limitations and FLH is connecting with area businesses who may have specific supplies, which they would make available to this important cause.
Specifically, Finger Lakes Health is soliciting in-kind donations made available to Finger Lakes Health for Geneva General Hospital or Soldiers & Sailors Memorial and our long-term care facilities any of the following:
• N95 masks
• Ear loop masks
• Isolation Masks
• Hand sanitizer (preferably 70% alcohol, however 60%+ would also we welcomed)
FLH would be grateful for your support to help protect their employees and care for the local communities.
The donation would be tax deductible as FLH is a 501(c) 3 and will work with donors to arrange for pick up or delivery if they are able to assist us during this vital time.
Please call 315-787-4053 or email lara.turbide@flhealth.org if you are able to provide support and FLH will coordinate logistics and answer any questions. Donated supplies can also be dropped off at the Geneva General Hospital loading dock, located behind the hospital. Please mark them Attention Lara Turbide, Community Services. The loading dock is open Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
