Haiti benefit auction is this weekend

PENN YAN--The annual New York Haiti Benefit Auction will be returning to the Yates County Fairgrounds, Friday, June 17 and Saturday, June 18.
Friday evening will feature the fish fry and roast beef dinner from 4 to 7 p.m., with the first auction at 6 p.m. for a variety of items. It will then be followed by a cattle auction at 6:30 p.m.
Saturday's breakfast begins at 6 a.m. with the first auction starting at 8 a.m. The furniture portion is expected at 9:30 a.m., quilts at 10 a.m. and large items at 1:30 p.m. Lunch will run from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and includes a pork roast, chicken barbecue and subs.
The event is a cooperative effort of many churches and individuals to bring relief to the hungry, sick, and homeless of Haiti. According to organizers, 100 percent of proceeds go to Haiti Missions.
The fairgrounds are located at 2370 Old Route 14A, Penn Yan.
