Hammondsport announces class valedictorian, salutatorian

HAMMONDSPORT-Hammondsport Central School has announced the valedictorian, salutatorian and the top ten students in the Class of 2022.
Anya Brown, daughter of Steven Brown and Jynx Burton of Hammondsport, has been named the valedictorian of the senior class. Brown is a National Honor Society member and has been active in choir and drama, Youth in Government, Academic All Stars, and the yearbook committee.
Brown intends to major in International Relations at the college she selects.

Amelia Johnson, daughter of Crystal Buckley of Bath, has been announced as the salutatorian. Johnson is a member of the National Honor Society and has participated in soccer, basketball, and drama. Johnson is the vice president of the class and also participated in Youth in Government.
She plans on going to Mansfield University to major in Psychology.
The remaining top ten of the senior class include:
Rorie Whitcomb, daughter of Justin and Kate Whitcomb of Corning, Ms. Anna Whitcomb of Hammondsport and granddaughter of Cindy Whitcomb of Hammondsport;
Cooper Watson, son of Paul and Tina Watson of Hammondsport;
Jacob Doyle, son of Matt and Carre Doyle of Hammondsport;
Ethan Tones, son of Marty and Tammy Tones of Hammondsport;
Danielle Bennett, daughter of Kevin and Christina Bennett of Hammondsport;
Liam Kressly, son of Thomas and Kathleen Kressly of Hammondsport;
Aliyah Snyder, daughter of MaryJo Snyder and the late Brett Snyder of Prattsburgh;
and Ethan Oram, son of Michael and Pascale Oram of Hammondsport.
Graduation is scheduled for June 24, at 6 p.m. in the auditorium or outside (weather permitting) at Hammondsport Central School.
