Hammondsport hosts Christmas in the Park

HAMMONDSPORT--The 42nd annual Christmas in the Park celebration will be held this Saturday, Dec. 8, on the village square in Hammondsport.
While the event officially gets underway in the late afternoon, the day begins with the Hammondsport Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary Breakfast with Santa from 8 to 11 a.m. at the station.
The evening event runs from 4 to 8 p.m. in the village with both food and craft vendors available. There will also be a family photo booth in the chamber visitor center throughout the night.
At 4 p.m. the Keuka Lake Players will present "The Polar Express" at the First Presbyterian Church of Hammondsport. The First United Methodist Church will be caroling at 4:30 p.m.
A number of activities get underway at 5 p.m. including the petting zoo, pony rides and horse-drawn wagon rides. Live music will be played by Aaron Kelly from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the bandstand and Santa and Mrs. Claus are expected to make their entrance by fire truck at 6:30 p.m.
