Hector appoints Justin Boyette as supervisor

HECTOR--The town of Hector announced the passing of Supervisor Alvin White, Saturday, Feb. 26. His obituary is found in today's paper on page 6. He died on Wednesday, Feb. 23, at the age of 71.
According to the town, he was sworn in on Jan. 1, 1998, and served the Town of Hector for twenty-four years with the last six as supervisor. At the next town meeting, Tuesday, March 8, the board will honor his memory with a moment of silence and some words of recollection at 7 p.m. The flag at the town hall is also being flown at half-mast in his honor.
Deputy Supervisor Justin Boyette resigned from that post Monday, Feb. 28 and was appointed to the supervisor position through the end of 2022.
