Hector Fair starts this Thursday

HECTOR—The annual Hector Fireman’s Fair is scheduled for this week, Thursday, July 25, to Saturday, July 27.
The fair will be held at the Hector-Logan-Valois Firemen’s Field on Route 414 in Hector.  On Thursday, the fair opens at 6 p.m.  The night includes bingo, rides, games, food, a library book sale, and free drawings.
On Friday, the fair again opens at 6 p.m.  The annual parade will be at 7 p.m., which includes the first float competition for local businesses.  Music will be provided at the beer garden following the parade.  In addition to rides and food, the book sale continues.  There will also be 50/50 raffles.
The fair opens at noon on Saturday.  The day includes a car show from 1 to 4 p.m. and pay one price for rides from 1 to 5 p.m.  There will be a chicken barbecue starting at noon until the food is gone.  Music will be provided by Zydeco Trail Riders in the evening.  Fireworks are scheduled for 11 p.m.
