Keuka Arts Festival offers variety

PENN YAN--An eclectic mix of musical styles and a mix of familiar and new artists are the hallmark of the entertainment offered at this year's Keuka Arts Festival, June 8-9. The annual festival, held along Penn Yan's historic Outlet Trail will welcome a wide variety of artists and artisans including painters, photographers, potters, jewelers, woodworkers, fiber artists and culinary specialists.
This year, organizers are pleased to welcome for the first time the Mt. Vernon Male Chorus--a gospel group from Rochester's Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church, the folk music duo Simple Gifts from State College, PA, Southern Tier singer-songwriter Emily Angell and flamenco guitarist Daniel King and his band, who perform both in Rochester and in Rincon, Puerto Rico. Returning to the Arts Festival stages are local favorites John Bolger, Artistic License, Crosseyed Cats and Reef Aires. Performances from the Hanna PK, Rebecca Colleen and the Chore Lads, and Steve Grills and the Roadmasters, along with Joe Beard, round out this year's musical entertainment.
Whether it's blues, swing, honky tonk, classic rock, jazz or something completely different, this year's Keuka Arts Festival musical performers are ready to entertain. The Keuka Arts Festival runs from 10 a.m to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 8 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 9. Admission is free.
