Keuka Arts Festival starts Saturday

PENN YAN—The seventh annual Keuka Arts Festival is a fine art and skilled craft show held annually along the Keuka Lake Outlet Trail, only a few blocks from downtown Penn Yan. The event is free and will feature live entertainment and activities for families.
The festival begins Saturday, June 14 at 10 a.m. and runs until 5 p.m. The hours are also 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 15, and the festival will be held rain or shine.
For 2014, the festival expects more than 100 vendors including categories such as painting, photography, pottery, jewelry and more. Local restaurants and wineries will offer culinary displays and the farmers market will feature 100 percent local, seasonal produce. A selection of Finger Lakes wine is available for tasting, as well as fresh lemonade and ice cream. Picnic tables are located throughout the festival.
A variety of live music will fill the air throughout the festival featuring bluegrass to acoustic rock.
“We are going to have a heck of a show,” organizer Chris Vaughn said. “We will have 50 or 60 new artists, some new entertainment for the children [...] and some local restaurants will also be featured. It will be a beautiful day, lots of music and the venue is looking to be in good shape.  I am hoping for 8,000 to 10,000 people to come this year. It should be one of the biggest turnouts yet.”
