Keuka Lake Art Show starts Saturday

HAMMONDSPORT--The 49th Annual Keuka Lake Art Show will be held Saturday and Sunday, July 11 and 12 at the Village Square in Hammondsport from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
"The oldest outdoor art show in the Finger Lakes" is sponsored by the Keuka Lake Art Association. Beginning as a small exhibition for students in an adult art class taught by Michael Moretti, the show has grown to be a popular venue for artists.
Artwork in the categories of pottery, jewelry, sculpture, photography, watercolor, and oil and acrylics is displayed under the trees by the bandstand in the village square. The committee of volunteers has worked to encourage amateur artists as well as high school and college students to display their work.
Judging the show this year will be Jan Kather, professor of media arts at Elmira College. Live music will be provided at the bandstand by Jayne and Bram Pomplas from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, the Take 3 jazz trio from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Ed Clute from 3 to 5 p.m.Saturday and Sunday, and Bill Groome from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday.
