Keuka Lake features art show

HAMMONDSPORT--The Keuka Lake Art Show will hold its 51st annual display in Hammondsport, Saturday and Sunday, July 8-9. The show began as an art exhibit of adult student work. Today, the show is an annual summer tradition in the village of Hammondsport. The show was initiated by Michael Moretti who taught the adult art class which led to his students looking for a venue to show their work. "The oldest outdoor art show in the Finger Lakes" has grown from this student exhibit.
The village square will host this show. Watercolor, oils, acrylic paintings, drawing, graphics, pottery, photography, sculpture, and jewelry by area artists are featured. Work by college students and high school students are also exhibited in their own category.
Live music is featured by Bruce Holler, Ed Clute and Aaron Lipp. There are still openings for exhibitors in some categories. Artists are encouraged to check the website www.keukalakeartassociation.com for entry forms and information.
