SPORTS RECAP: Week of 12-21-22

Dundee-Bradford
Wrestling
The Dundee-Bradford wrestling team defeated Lyons, 48-15, Wednesday, Dec. 14.
Competitive wins were recorded by: Alex Leonard (138 - pin 0:14), Hayden Erick (160 - pin 0:33), Caleb Bartlett (215 - pin 2:56) and Riley Teeter (285 - pin 0:23).

Girls Basketball
The Dundee-Bradford girls basketball team beat South Seneca, Tuesday, Dec. 13. The final score was 49-30. Kendall Parker led with 17 points and four steals. Kailey Yeoman added 14 points with eight steals. Mikayla Schoffner recorded 16 rebounds and eight points in the game.

Boys Basketball
The Dundee-Bradford boys basketball team lost to Midlakes, 67-56, Friday, Dec. 16. Leading scorers were Logan Buchanan and Cam Rosmier both with 18 points and Nick Slavick added eight points and 10 rebounds.
The team fell to South Seneca, Tuesday, Dec. 13. The final score was 72-67. Slavick had 17 points and seven rebounds. Rosemier recorded 16 points and Buchanan 14.

Indoor Track
The indoor track team competed at RIT, Friday, Dec. 16.
Camden Buchanan took second in the 55 meter dash. Hayden Erick was second in the triple jump. Madison Hughes was fifth in the triple jump.

Penn Yan
Girls Basketball
The Penn Yan girls basketball team lost to Palmyra-Macedon, 53-28, Friday, Dec. 16. Corinne Barden contributed 11 points and four rebounds in the game. Hailey Trank and Breanne Dunning each had five points with eight and five rebounds, respectively.
The Mustangs recorded their first win of the year over Geneva, 51-33, Tuesday, Dec. 13. Bailey Cooper paced the team with 18 points, four assists, four rebounds and four steals. Barden and Madisen Pierce both added seven points. Trank had 13 rebounds.

Boys Basketball
The Penn Yan boys basketball team lost to Palmyra-Macedon, 63-26, Friday, Dec. 16. Jakson Jones had seven points.
The team also fell to Geneva, 64-41. Liam Chapman led with 14 points.

Indoor Track
The Penn Yan indoor track team competed at RIT, Friday, Dec. 16.
James Tette took second in the 1,000 meter run. Kyle Wheeler was fourth in the 1,000 meter run. Anthony Wheeler finished fifth in the 600 meter run, while Anthony Sciallo was third in the shot put.

Hammondsport
Wrestling (Avoca-Prattsburgh/Hammondsport)
The wrestling team won over Alfred-Almond, 39-30, Tuesday, Dec. 13. Recording wins were: Nathan Young (126 - pin 4:43), Peyton Hoad (132 - decision 9-2), Tristin Davis (138 - pin 0:29), Trent Lewis (145 - pin 1:31).

Boys Basketball
The Hammondsport boys basketball team lost to Canisteo-Greenwood, Wednesday, Dec. 14. The final score was 76-31.

Watkins Glen
Boys Basketball
The Watkins Glen boys basketball team lost to Waverly, 62-40, Monday, Dec. 12. Jacob Yontz led with 12 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks. Joseph Sutterby and Alex Holmes both had seven points and eight rebounds.

Girls Basketball
The Watkins Glen girls basketball team fell to Waverly, Monday, Dec. 12. The final score was 57-43. Jenna Solomon had 12 points and Rachel Vickio added nine.

Swimming
The Watkins Glen and Odessa-Montour swimming team defeated Lansing, 97-88, Tuesday, Dec. 13. First-place finishers included: the 200 meter relay team, Liam Smith (200 IM and 500 free), Jon Spencer (50 free and 100 breaststroke), Vincent Ocasio (100 free), the 200 meter free relay team and the 400 free relay team.

Odessa-Montour
Girls Basketball
The Odessa-Montour girls basketball team won over Tioga, 58-20, Tuesday, Dec. 13. Keyonna Garrison had 18 points and nine rebounds. Hannah Nolan added 10 points with 7 rebounds and 6 steals. Reagan Reese had 10 points and six rebounds.

Boys Basketball
The Odessa-Montour boys basketball team lost to South Seneca, 61-54, Saturday, Dec. 17.
The Grizzlies fell to Tioga, Tuesday, Dec. 13. The final score was 70-23.

Wrestling
The Odessa-Montour and Watkins Glen wrestling team won against Whitney Point, 57-18, Wednesday, Dec. 14. Recording competitive wins were: Mark Waterman (145 - pin 0:18), Gabe Williams (152 - decision 8-5), Tristan Harrington (160 - pin 0:28), Lucas Hoffman (118 - pin 4:59) and Riley Yaw (132 - pin 0:42).
