Starkey town board 9/9/10

Meeting: Starkey town board met for approximately two and one quarter hours, Sept. 9. An executive session to consider personnel matters took place during the meeting.
Attendance: All board members were present. Three members of the public were in the audience.
Action: Agreed to place the 2006 truck out for bid when the new truck arrives.
Discussion without action: North Glenora Road resident  John McDowell asked the board to do something about a noise ordinance.
• Dundee-Glenora Road resident Jane Lawson expressed her displeasure at not being able to get in touch with town officials. She would like the town to look into getting a Web site that would list alternate ways to contact town employees.
• Planning board chairman George Lawson distributed sample regional permit regulations concerning dock and deck regulations from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
• Supervisor Richard Burcaw will contact Barrington Supervisor Fred Wright to schedule a time to review the Coordinated Assessment Agreement between the two municipalities.
• Board members received copies of the local law on animal population control which needs revision to reflect state changes. Clerk Sue Crans recommended the dog ordinance and the animal control local law be combined.
Upcoming meetings: The next meeting is Oct. 7, at 7 p.m.
