Tyrone board meeting 01/13/09

Meeting:  The Tyrone town board met Tuesday, Jan. 13, including an executive session.

Attendance:  All board members were present.

Action:  The board approved applying for a credit or debit card so that office supplies could be bought online.

Discussion without action:  The Lake Association reported that bids have been completed for the treatment of Lamoka and Waneta Lakes.  Property owners along the lake had been notified of plans for treatment.

• Albert Buckland, code enforcer, said he wanted permission to attend classes.

• The justice department received grant money to purchase new equipment.  The justice clerk has received over $11,000 in grants for the department.

Bids/purchases over $1,000:  None.

Appointments/resignations:  None.

Upcoming meetings:  The next regular board meeting will be Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 7:30 p.m.  Michael Griffin, a representative from the New York State Department of Transportation will be at the town hall starting at 6 p.m. to discuss repair work.
