Attendance:  Kevin Field and Robert Dill were the only board members absent.  There were no members of the public in the audience.
Action:  The board approved the agreement with the Watkins Glen Police Department for a second year of a school resource officer.  Superintendent Tom Phillips explained officer Mike Powers will continue to serve the Watkins school district for the 2011-12 school year.  He added that the school pays the village for the part-time officer replacing Powers, while getting the SRO full-time.

    • The school board also approved an agreement with the Schuyler County Mental Health Clinic to provide transportation for patients.
    • The board acknowledged the review of policies, including attendance, purchasing, and investments.  Phillips said the board members had them to look over.
    • A donation of $1,547.95 was accepted from the Parent Teacher Organization to purchase a camcorder for the middle school.
Discussion without action:  High school Principal Dave Warren said the district heard back about global studies and integrated algebra Regents exam results.  He said both look very good.  Phillips added the global studies Regents is an exam most school districts traditionally struggle with on results.

    • Jackie Bubb was appointed modified A cheerleading coach.  Alyssa Hoobler was accepted as the varsity girls soccer coach.
