Dundee Fund nears goal from donations

DUNDEE--The Dundee Area United Fund is officially nearing their fundraising goal for 2015. Campaign Co-Chair Carrie Wood said the fund is within $560 of its $25,600 goal, which will go to benefit 15 area organizations this year.
Wood noted the fund is about on the same pace in reaching its goal as it was last year. Wood added this year marks the 59th year of the Dundee Area United Fund, noting it is a nice gift from the community whose donations will help fund these local agencies.
The distributions of the money raised will be as follows:
• The Dundee Library, Christmas for the Needy and Dundee Youth Center will each receive $3,200.
• The Dundee Area Historical Society, $3,000.

• The Dundee Children's Center, $2,000.
• The Dundee Food Pantry, $1,500.
