Group spreads holiday cheer in Dundee

DUNDEE-As the Christmas holiday approaches, Our Town RoCKS (OTR) hosted a holiday caroling and family fun event, Monday, Dec. 18. The night began at the OTR office on Main Street, where there were refreshments for those in attendance, as well as festive music. The group then moved to the village, where they stopped at Winner's Circle Deli, Save-A-Lot, Classic Café, Petersen's Pizza and Dollar General to sing and bring holiday cheer.
Our Town RoCKS works to improve the health of residents in Barrington, Starkey and Dundee through community meetings, outreach, activities and encouraging reading with students.
The group sponsors a Community Reading Night for kids which is coming up this Thursday, Dec. 21 at Dundee Central School. The event runs from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Discovery Room at the school. More information can be seen at www.ourtownrocks.org.
