Penn Yan Drama Club will perform

PENN YAN--The Penn Yan Academy Drama Club will hold its first ever 24-Hour Play Festival Saturday, June 4. The entire production from concept to performance will happen within a 24-hour period.
Using Penn Yan Academy student artwork as inspiration, student writers will write six short plays late into Friday night, June 3. Saturdaymorning, these plays will be placed into the hands of student directors, student actors and student stage managers to prepare for a performance that evening.
Students will also attend workshops Friday led by local volunteers in the areas of improvisation, stage movement and combat, directing, acting, writing and technical theatre.
The public is invited to come see what creativity can happen in just 24 hours. The performance will take place Saturday, June 4, at 7:30 p.m. in the Penn Yan Academy auditorium. Donations to the Penn Yan Academy Drama Club will accepted at the performance.
