Watkins Glen celebrates volunteers

WATKINS GLEN-The Watkins Glen Fire Department held the annual awards dinner, Saturday, April 27. Honors were presented for training, response and years of service. This year, the Charles Smith I Firefighter Award was presented to Joe Matwiejow who has 62 years of department service. Presenting the award was Dominick Smith, Judson Smith and Charlie Smith III (pictured at left). The top responder with 181 calls was Mike Stamp. Tim Hudson recorded 65.22 training hours in 2018, the most in the department.
