Watkins Glen commemorates graduates

WATKINS GLEN–The Watkins Glen high school held their 132nd annual graduation ceremony, Saturday, June 28. 72 students graduated in the afternoon commencement held at the school auditorium.
Salutatorian Caitlin Connelly addressed her class, talking about the importance of the class bond and the next step after high school.
“Every step led somewhere,” Connelly said. “Hard work does pay off. . .be a team one last time. . .this is your story to tell.”
The Senior Oration was given by Samantha Gill. She also echoed Connelly in the memories the class has shared.
“Our past is etched in the walls and hearts,” said Gill.
Valedictorian Megan Daigle concluded the student addresses saying “Life is forever changing . . . [do] not wish your life away . . . everyday is an opportunity for happiness.”
