Yuhasz resigns from legislature

SCHUYLER COUNTY—Schuyler County District 2 Legislator Michael Yuhasz has resigned his seat effective Friday, Jan. 31, 2014. Deputy Clerk to the Legislature Jamee Mack said Yuhasz resigned due to ongoing health issues, which has kept him from serving on the legislature for the last seven months. A year remains on his current three-year term.
Mack said due to the extended redistricting in Schuyler County, the legislature does not plan to fill his position before his term expires.
“We still have a total of eight legislators without Mike being present because of the addition of one legislator,” Mack said.
