PENN YAN--The 2024 Keuka Arts Festival is set to take place Saturday and Sunday, June 8 and 9, along the Keuka Outlet in Penn Yan. This annual event, known for showcasing original art and handcrafted items, will feature about 100 vendors, food, adult beverage tastings, and musical entertainment.
This year’s festival boasts over 50 artists from a variety of artistic mediums, with a mix of familiar and new talents from across western New York and Pennsylvania. Returning favorites include jewelers Janis Long, Elizabeth Lassing, Gerina Faison, and Richelle Leigh; potter Kim Cutler; painters The Tole Peddler and Todd Bachta; garden sculptor Jeanne’s Garden; and vendors such as Shepard Honey, Vinegars Etc., Nectar of the Vine wine slushie mixes, and Bo’s Bones.
New vendors include Forge Gone Conclusions custom jewelry, Hammer and Light metal sculpting, Art of Yen Ospina drawings and prints, and Creative Creatures recycled metal sculptures.
Live music will be performed on multiple stages throughout the festival. Returning musicians include Steve Grills, Qwister, John Bolger, and Feedback, while new acts such as Black Robin Band, The Tarps, and Blue Eyed Soul will make their festival debut.
Another highlight of this year’s festival is the official poster, which features an original painting by Hannelore Wolcott-Bailey, the Arts Center’s 2023 Artist of the Year. “We love the color, the activity, and the nostalgia that Hannelore’s painting of Sunfish sailors on the lake embodies,” said Festival committee co-chair George Dornberger. The posters are currently available for sale at the Arts Center and will be sold during the festival.
The Keuka Arts Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, June 8, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, June 9. Admission to the festival and all musical performances is free, though donations are welcome. Volunteers interested in helping with the festival can contact the Arts Center at 315-536-8226.
