PENN YAN--The village of Penn Yan has four candidates for mayor and four citizens running for three open trustee positions in the upcoming election, Wednesday, March 18. The election is at the Penn Yan Village Hall from noon until 9 p.m.
Candidates for mayor include: Patricia Christensen, Leigh MacKerchar, Daniel C Irwin and incumbent Dan Condella.
For the trustee positions in the village: Teresa Hoban (incumbent), Ronald E Dailey, Bill Wigsten and Robert D Craig.
The Yates County Concerned Citizens are hosting a “Village Candidates Forum,” Thursday, March 12, at the Penn Yan Fire Department. The event runs from 6 to 8 p.m. Each candidate will present their platforms, followed by questions from the audience.
