Hammondsport presents 'The Little Mermaid'

HAMMONDSPORT--The Hammondsport Central School District Drama Club will present Disney's "The Little Mermaid," Friday, Saturday and Sunday this week.
Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories and the classic animated film, Disney's The Little Mermaid is a beautiful love story for the ages. With music by eight-time Academy Award winner, Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater and a compelling book by Doug Wright, this fishy fable will capture your heart with songs, including "Under the Sea," "Kiss the Girl" and "Part of Your World."
Ariel (Allison Peck), King Triton's (Luke Szathmary) youngest daughter, wishes to pursue the human Prince Eric (Nick Serdula) in the world above, bargaining with the evil sea witch, Ursula (Azure Sage), to trade her tail for legs. But the bargain is not what it seems, and Ariel needs the help of her colorful friends, Flounder (Saxen Davis) the fish, Scuttle (Keegan Walruth) the seagull and Sebastian (Jacob Rosenbloom) the crab to restore order under the sea.
Friday and Saturday shows are at 7 p.m., with a 1 p.m. matinee on Sunday. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for students or seniors.
